Getting Started
What is patrimony and legacy management?
Patrimony management means organising and tracking everything you own — assets, documents, and their value. Legacy management is deciding how and to whom it gets passed on.
Who is Ignis Vault for?
Ignis Vault is built for everyone who wants a clear, organised picture of everything they own — and a simple way to protect it for the people they love.
Is Ignis Vault available in my country?
Ignis Vault is currently available across Europe, with global expansion underway. Join the waiting list to be notified when we launch in your region.
Do I need a lawyer to use Ignis Vault?
No — Ignis Vault is designed to be used independently. However, our partner network connects you with vetted legal professionals whenever you need expert guidance.
Your Assets
What can I add to my Ignis Vault?
Property, vehicles, valuables, financial assets, insurances, subscriptions, liabilities and more — if you own it, you can vault it.
Can I manage assets across multiple countries?
Yes — Ignis Vault is built for exactly that. Whether your assets are in one country or five, everything lives in one organised, secure place.
How does Ignis Vault estimate the value of my assets?
On paid plans, Ignis Vault connects to live market data through APIs to give you real-time estimates of your assets — from your property to your vehicle — so you always know what your patrimony is worth today.
Security & Privacy
Is my data secure?
Yes. Ignis Vault uses zero-knowledge encryption, meaning your data is fully private — even we can't see it.
How does Ignis Vault protect my data?
We use GDPR-compliant, zero-knowledge architecture. Your data is encrypted end-to-end and only accessible by you and the people you explicitly authorise.
Is Ignis Vault GDPR compliant?
Yes. Ignis Vault is fully GDPR compliant, with end-to-end encryption and strict data minimisation practices built into the platform from day one.
Your Circle & Keyholders
What is a Keyholder?
A Keyholder is a trusted person you designate to access your vault — at a moment you define, with the level of access you choose.
How do I assign a Keyholder?
Inside your vault, you can nominate any trusted contact as a Keyholder and define exactly what they can access and when.
Can I control who has access to my information?
Completely. You decide who sees what, and when — through a system of Keyholders you assign yourself.
Can I share my vault with family members or advisors?
Yes. You can grant controlled access to family members, advisors, or legal professionals, as keyholders or sharing it adhoc — on your terms, with no unnecessary exposure.
Legacy & Love Notes
How is Ignis Vault different from a regular will?
A will is a static document. Ignis Vault is a living, dynamic record of everything you own — updated in real time, with instructions, documents, and people all in one place.
What happens to my vault when I pass away?
Your Keyholders have gradual access from day one — but full visibility of your patrimony is only unlocked upon upload and validation of a death certificate, simplifying probate for your family.
What can my Keyholders see?
Keyholders can see your full patrimony listing to help with probate — but never your Love Notes or personal contacts. Some things are yours alone.
What are Love Notes?
Love Notes are personal messages you leave for the people you care about — delivered only after your passing, triggered automatically when your death certificate is validated.
When are Love Notes delivered?
They're dispatched automatically the moment your death certificate is uploaded and validated — along with notifications to the contacts you've chosen to inform.
